SEATTLE, Wash. – (January 10, 2008) – Airbiquity Inc. today
announced the appointment of John Atherly as its new chief financial
officer. As a key member of Airbiquity’s executive management team,
Atherly will have oversight of the company's financial goals, economic
strategy, forecasting and investor relations.
Atherly brings to Airbiquity more than 20 years of experience in the
software development and technology industry. Prior to joining
Airbiquity, John served as CFO for both eMagin Corporation and
Click2learn, Inc. Throughout his career, he has raised over $200 million
in financing for his companies. He has extensive experience in mergers
and acquisitions, having completed transactions with a cumulative value
of over $100 million, the largest of which was completed in 2004 with
the merger between Click2learn and their primary competitor Docent,
Inc., creating SumTotal Systems, Inc. Atherly has extensive experience
managing finance and administration organizations, planning and
budgeting, investor relations and the financial reporting processes.
During 2007 Airbiquity experienced continued success by adding several
large automobile OEM’s to its customer base, which will significantly
expand domestic and international deployments over the next two years.
In addition the company will also be launching a number of its new VIAaq
managed data service programs during this period. As head of the
company’s finance group, Atherly will help maximize the company’s
operational efficiency during this accelerated growth phase.
