Airbiquity’s Smartphone Integration Solution and Choreo™ Cloud Platform Featured on Nissan Models Worldwide Starting with 2014 Altima

Seattle, WA – November 7, 2013 – Airbiquity, Inc., a global leader in connected vehicle services, today announced the international rollout of the NissanConnect™ Apps service powered by Airbiquity’s Smartphone Integration solution and Choreo™ private cloud platform.

With this launch, Nissan becomes the first automotive brand to globally introduce connected car technology using a single connected vehicle services platform, Airbiquity’s Choreo, providing connected car technology that integrates popular smartphone apps, cloud content and services into the consumer driving experience. By enabling driver smartphone apps and content to be fully integrated into the vehicle displays, switches and voice recognition systems, Nissan leads the way in providing consumers with cutting edge vehicle connectivity and convenience.

The Airbiquity Smartphone Integration solution will be deployed in select Nissan vehicles worldwide beginning in September and October with the 2014 Altima sedan in North America.  Regional rollouts will follow for more Nissan models, reaching 50 countries and 32 languages by the end of 2014.

“Consumer expectations regarding smartphones, apps, services and cloud content being part of their driving experience are fueling increased interest in connected car features. Airbiquity’s Smartphone Integration solution enables Nissan to meet this demand,” said Kamyar Moinzadeh, Chief Executive Officer of Airbiquity. “Today’s announcement is evidence of the partnership between our companies that began with the global CARWINGS system in Nissan LEAF and is now expanding to new model lines.”

Leading OEMs understand the strategic and economic value in leveraging Airbiquity’s Choreo cloud platform to efficiently and effectively manage connected car programs and related smartphone application, cloud content and service delivery offerings. Airbiquity is committed to continued partnership and technology innovation with its OEM customers to create the most superlative connected car experiences in the automotive industry today.

“Airbiquity’s Choreo platform is unique in its ability to enable automakers to create, deliver and manage their connected car experiences on a global scale without having to become smartphone app integration or content experts,” said Roger C. Lanctot, Associate Director of the Global Automotive Practice at Strategy Analytics. “Given the strength of their platform and proven ability to work with OEMs, wireless carriers and Tier 1 suppliers, I expect Airbiquity to strengthen its market position and accelerate revenue growth as the connected car market rapidly expands.”
