Stratus Award for Cloud Computing Finalist

Airbiquity has been announced as a finalist for the 2015 Stratus Award for Cloud Computing by the Business Intelligence Group. The Stratus Awards recognizes companies and individuals innovating in the Cloud space and providing differentiated offerings. Airbiquity entered into the category of Software-as-a-Service for the Choreo connected car service delivery cloud platform. Below are some highlights from the submission.

  • Automakers need connected car platforms that let them deploy, manage, scale, and dynamically update innovative and differentiated connected car programs at the speed of mobile innovation. Airbiquity and Choreo meet this need with a single, fully-integrated, private-cloud connected vehicle services delivery platform designed from the ground up to leverage the latest technology to fulfill and exceed connected car driver expectations.
  • Choreo isn't vaporware: It's available today in over 50 countries, and millions of vehicles connect to Choreo every day generating hundreds of millions of transactions per month. Using Choreo automakers can easily configure, deploy, and manage connected car programs globally at the make, model, and country level. Choreo also ensures connected car system and content software is never obsolete with over-the-air updates from the cloud without the need for end user involvement and inconvenience.
  • When it comes to the connected car user experience Airbiquity believes it's imperative to ensure technology and content delivery don't interfere with driver and occupant safety. Airbiquity uses the latest technology for all customer deployments, such as speech recognition and text to voice, in conjunction with cloud-powered back-end program management and policy controls, to ensure drivers enjoy their connected car features, apps, content and services without taking their eyes off the road. Airbiquity solutions also enable safety and convenience features like remote vehicle monitoring, geo-fencing, automatic crash notification, and connections to call centers and concierge services. It all adds up to making a complex system intuitive and useful for millions of drivers worldwide.

The attractiveness of Airbiquity and the Choreo platform is clear looking at market adoption. Since Choreo's debut in 2007, Airbiquity has deployed connected car programs for eight leading automotive brands and over seven million vehicles spanning 49 models.
