President and CEO Joins Illustrious List of Dynamic Local Business Leaders
SEATTLE, WA – Airbiquity Inc. (www.airbiquity.com) today announced that its President and CEO, Kamyar Moinzadeh, was named to the Puget Sound Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 list for 2008 (http://www.40under40seattle.com).
Puget Sound Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 list is a premier awards program that spotlights the next generation of Puget Sound business leaders under the age of 40 working hard to drive the business community’s future while demonstrating dynamic leadership and social responsibility.
Moinzadeh has more than 17 years of experience in the wireless industry, having held several senior management and engineering positions at companies including AT&T Wireless and Motorola. He holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science from Washington State University.
“I’m extremely flattered to be an honoree for this prestigious award,” said Moinzadeh. “I find that my success comes from taking time to listen to my customers and by engaging them in a rich dialogue that drives key insights and clear strategy. I also credit having an exceptional team that drives the business forward and helps me to better focus on current and new business opportunities for all of us.”
Author of several patents, Moinzadeh has been instrumental in Airbiquity’s continued success since his start with the company in 2002. Under his leadership, Airbiquity has become a domestic leader in Telematics communications software solutions and is used in various in-vehicle safety, security and communications services. Now, Moinzadeh is overseeing the company’s expansion into Europe and China. In Europe, Airbiquity’s technology is currently under evaluation as a key part of the Pan-European eCall standard to help save lives on European roads. As for China, it is the fastest-growing automotive telematics market in the world and provides tremendous opportunity for the company to expand its presence further.
Moinzadeh’s strategic thinking is also opening up new business opportunities for Airbiquity. The company recently announced its connected services platform for Personal Navigation Devices (PND), making it easy and cost-effective for PND suppliers to deliver end-to-end services for their customers. By leveraging key industry partnerships, Airbiquity offers full turnkey solutions in a marketplace dominated by piecemeal solutions. Continued innovation matched with Moinzadeh’s demonstrated thought leadership helps ensure the company’s continued success.
Airbiquity provides wireless data communications solutions that enable product suppliers and service providers in the M2M, portable navigation and telematics industries to deliver reliable and ubiquitous wireless data services.
